Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I have yet to see a bigger sports bar in Bulgaria.
With that said, you probably imagine hundreds of people shouting at an infinite number of monitors playing different matches, spilling beer all over the place. Well if you did, you couldn’t be more wrong. Weird or not, The Academy remains barely visited. It has five snooker and seven pool tables, Playstation, fussball tables, darts, several ping-pong tables, electronic board games and card games table. The picture is completed with 50-inch TVs and the titanic 140-inch screen, which could not be more perfect for watching a football game (make sure you get a front seat on the couch)!
They even offer professional snooker training and sometimes host tournaments.
The halls are very different from each other, so by going to The Academy you could easily get the impression you were in more than one place. I think it’s extremely suitable for a birthday or a firm party, though I haven’t had the chance to test it that way.
Located on the lower floor at the “Arena” cinema complex (just meters away from Vardar Metro station), The Academy still remains poorly visited as I mentioned, compared to the potential it has.
