Stockholm has a lot of brilliant lookouts, where Fåfängan is one of the most astonishing one according to me. It's located just southeast of the city, an easy ten-minute straight walk from Slussen. It's not hard to miss from a distance though, since there are trees and flags in a square surrounding the top.
Wooden stairs will take you upward, and soon you'll witness the Stockholm skyline, the island Djurgården, rooftops, and cruise ships arriving and departing. That is, a magnificent panorama view.
If the weather allows you should bring your own bottle of wine and choose a favourite spot on the cliffs. During the chilly months though, I bet you're up for this alternative: brunch! Every Saturday and Sunday they serve their brunch of organic, gluten and lactose free products. (I think you should book a table on their website or make a call to make sure there's tables free).
