Summertime Stockholm is truly the time to soak up everything the city has to offer, all day, all night, in constant daylight (I’ll stop rhyming now, I promise). One of my favorite must-do’s during this season is visiting all the pop-up street markets around Stockholm. Hornstull’s market is one of my favorites and after being closed due to covid, the market is finally open again!
Along the water, on Södermalm you’ll find a market strip filled with food, vintage, antiques, art, jewellery and food trucks. Hornstull’s market takes the best of the classic flea market and adds the flare of hip and new Swedish design. The market is open every weekend from April until the end of September and on the sunny and warm days, you will find most of the trendy Stockholm hipsters lounging on the sundeck, along the market street. Get a crêpe, wash it down with some fresh brewed Ethiopian coffee, buy an awesome set of mismatched tea cups and enjoy your day among the locals. Anyone can apply to be a vendor, so shops vary week to week.
Make sure to stop by if you have the chance!
