A bit off the beaten track, right outside the city, but still close to the Stockholm University area, there is a very special ice cream factory and café.
Nordic Fauna makes their own ice cream with local organic produce and brings out very interesting combinations of the ‘Nordic flavours’ as they call them.
I had to try everything of course… From Gin & Rhubarb to Blue Berry & Tarragon and Dill & Punch. At the moment there are 12 flavours available and they are combinable in every way. The ingredients are obviously recognisable, very refreshing and absolutely delicious.
There is a cute little terrace out front to enjoy your purchase in summer, and they have some tasty local beverages available as well.
The good news is, they’re open all year round. This might be a nice pit stop during a long walk if you are at Haga Parken, The Natural history museum, or the Botanical garden of Stockholm.
