Located on a cliff far above the water, Skanskvarn is privileged with an magnificent view as it’s facing the distant city. It’s a leafy yet urban outdoor restaurant and bar, though the chill atmosphere in the garden’s contrasted by the city tram that’s winding squeak down the hill right beside.
Skanskvarn is a true local gem, and a popular such, during it’s oh too short but lovable season. Hungry tummies as well as thirsty companions – though they serve proper yet unpretentious food as well as all kinds of beverages.
If not in the garden with wooden benches, take an upright seat on their terrace and enjoy the sight of the sunset. Don’t worry if it’s still a bit cool outside, the loyal staff keep the heaters on for everybody’s comfort.
NOTE: during summer, bands are playing gigs here now and then (maybe not the most up-to-date ones, but still…)
