Två Små Svin (“Two Little Pigs”) is a restaurant that will be worth that little effort of going a bit outside the city center. Here you get to try Nordic cuisine of open-faced sandwiches called “Smørrebrød”.
“Smørrebrød” is slices of Danish compact grain bread with toppings in all kinds of combinations. You’ll find typical Swedish ones on the menu like Herring, salmon and mackerel. Combinated with browned butter, chives, cheese, horseradish, egg, potato, and much more.
The staff at Två Små Svin will also suggest you combine your food with the most traditional Swedish element of them all – the shots of “schnapps”. It will enhance the flavors of the food (and also get you all warm inside as a bonus).
Två Små Svin is as suitable for lunch as well as dinner, but make sure to make a reservation. And if you want to linger afterwards, but new guests are in line for your table, just pop in next door. Here lies the natural extension of the restaurant – the bar with schnapps-based drinks!
