Van der Nootska Palace was built in the 17th century and was originally a privately owned palace. Since then, the Palace has served several different functions; among others, it has been a tobacco factory and a brothel(!). It has since been renovated and today it is very classy. The palace can now be rented for private parties, but they also have a popular lunch restaurant open to the public in the elegant bar.
van der Nootska is the perfect get-away after some intensive exploring of the city. You can recharge your batteries in this quiet and stylish environment and enjoy some very good Scandinavian-style food. The kitchen is open Mon-Fri 11:00 – 14:00 and the cheapest dish is 110 SEK. They also have à la carte that comes at a significantly higher price.
