Kuksu is a newly opened modest cafe in the center of Tallinn, right opposite Stockmann shopping center. Kuksu or Kuksi is a Korean noodle dish popular among Koreans in the Uzbek area. It can be served cold or hot. The place is very affordable, for 5€ you can get a huge bowl of soup filled with noodles, vegetables, and eggs.
For the 2€ banchan, you can have kimchi, carrot salad (this “Korean” carrot salad is found all over the area that is the former Soviet Union, not exactly in South Korea, but nonetheless a popular favorite), and some other fermented goodies. Kimbap, dumplings, and some meat dishes are also available. They have a sushi corner that you can order some regular style sushi at.
Very nice for lunch or dinner. The portions are extremely generous and the service is fast.
