Rohujuur is a small bakery in Tallinn with oh-so-tasty pastries. I have a feeling that bakeries are not too easy to locate in Estonia. We have our legendary black bread, but if you want to find tasty pastries, you have to know your way around, or you will end up getting an easy fix in the pastry section of a large grocery store.

Rohujuur bakery and organic grocery store is known for its legendary cinnamon rolls, cardamom-raisin swirls and poppy seed pastries. Everything is mighty delicious and the fillings are generous – my pet peeve is savoury pastries not having enough filling.

There is a small seating area to enjoy your chosen one with a cup of coffee. If you happen to stay in a hotel in Tallinn center, do skip those generic croissants at the breakfast table and take a short ride off center to Rohujuur instead.
