Have you ever been to a café that used to be a butcher’s?
Pyynikintorin Liha ja Kahvi reminds me of restaurants in Southern Europe. I can easily imagine myself being in Spain when I’m having a glass of wine in this café. The place is decorated with a personal style and the opening hours are great. You can go there to have breakfast, lunch, light dinner or even an evening snack. The menu offers hot and cold beverages, cakes, salads and tapas plates. You order at the counter and the waiters do the rest.
The shelves on the walls are filled with many kinds of food products that you can buy at home or maybe as a souvenir for someone. The best table is definitely next to the window where you can easily do some people watching.
Fun fact: The sign of the old butcher’s (Pyynikintorin Liha) is still hanging above the entrance, the owners of the café just added a little extra to it!
