In the heart of the Dedaena Park, right on the embankment of the river Mtkvari, there is a huge glass container. Its windows are decorated with silhouette stickers dedicated to reading. This is Book Corner café.
With its wooden tables, simple colourful chairs, and fabric tablecloths, Book Corner reminds you of a cozy living room. The charm of this place is in the details, be they the small bouquets on the tables, cups and saucepans used as lampshades, or book-shaped cases for bills.
The menu is not large but each dish is delicious. Do try the pasta carbonara and their honey cake, trust a professional sweet tooth – it’s amazing! Another specialty of the place is their homemade mint lemonade.
The floor-to-ceiling glass windows of the café face both the park and the river. Be ready for the magic effect of the water proximity – its flow helps you organize your thoughts to the accompaniment of a cup of strong Americano. This side of the café is especially recommended if you came to Book Corner to work. The view of the river with an occasional motor boat in the summertime will boost your creativity and energy.
At the backside of the café, there is an open wooden deck with tables. Come summer, the deck welcomes guests who enjoy sunshine and a bit of river air. In the evening, the deck is decorated with illumination.
