When Kiwi café was first opened on July 4th, 2015, it was the first vegan café in Tbilisi. Kiwi café is more than a café; it’s a vegan community promoting vegan food in Tbilisi and Georgia.
We can argue whether being a vegan is healthy or not, but we can all appreciate a café that aims solely on protecting animal rights and promoting vegan food in a country where people’s diets consist of only meat-based products. The prices at Kiwi café are very budget friendly in comparison to any other café in Tbilisi.
Of course, Kiwi café’s menu consists of only vegan food, but don’t worry, your options aren’t only limited to salads and fruits: you can also eat a vegan cheeseburger, a vegan burrito, or a tofu sandwich. My favorites are the falafel wrap and tofu sandwich.
There are also many weekly activities at Kiwi café such as book club, movie screening nights, and language exchange club.
Whether you’re a vegan or not, I believe this is a community worth supporting.
