I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but Tel Aviv is probably the best city in the world for vegans 🙂 I would like to recommend a unique vegan restaurant – maybe the best in town (haven’t tried them all yet).
The coolest thing about Bana is that it’s not trying to deny its vegan identity with dishes that have meat replacements like soy and seitan. The opposite: it celebrates veganism and everything that has to do with it. Starting with the design: at the entrance, there are two huge squashes welcoming you. On the walls and hanging from the ceiling there are a few kinds of fruit. The pastel colored benches and walls just add to this atmosphere.
This continues, of course, to the dishes. They are all based on vegetables and other vegan products and all of them are just amazing, standing on their own right. They have too types of menus: At lunch time the food is lighter (and cheaper) with dishes like cold soups and salads and at the evening it’s more sophisticated (but also plant-based). The deserts are also amazing: tart, hot chocolate cake and more. The place is not cheap but totally worth it!
