Maybe it’s just me, but I am always super curious to see apartments and houses from the inside and how people have arranged themselves in there. So since 2008 the City of Tel Aviv does every year a great event for all of us nosy people – “Batim Bafnim” – Hebrew for “houses inside”.
Last time, I saw apartments and workspaces designed by some very talented interior designers. This time I will for sure check out the historical Alhambra Building in Jaffa and also the “Pastel apartment” – one of the private residences that are usually not open to the public, maybe I will also visit the Villa of the British Ambassador in Ramat Gan.
Batim Bifnim will be all over Tel Aviv (and surroundings). Mostly there is no reservation required, just show up, for some you need to register before. Some have open houses, some have tours where you have to queue. You can search for the events with different filters (date, event type etc.) on their English website.
