The Beer Bazaar is one of Shuk HaCarmel’s lesser known gems (check the Shuk HaCarmel article). And definitely a place any beer lover shouldn’t miss.
Israel has been going through a small brewery renaissance and they have been popping up all around the country for the last 5 years or so.
And then the Beer Bazaar showed up and brought all of this beer goodness to Tel Aviv. They carry only beers made by small breweries from Israel. Many of their brands are hard to find and at last count they had 97 different kinds of beer bottles. Their decor is somewhat reminiscent of the song 99 bottles of beer on the wall….
Beer Bazaar is located in Shuk HaCarmel and is easy to overlook amongst all the other attractions, colors, smells and balagan as we say over here. But I highly recommend it, it’s a good spot to take a small break from wandering around the market. Sit down at the bar, enjoy a beer and still have a front row seat to Shuk HaCarmel and all its hustle and bustle.
The Beer Bazaar has 3 beers on tap, the house Brew known for its name as well as its good taste The Fat Cat, and 2 others which change randomly. The rest of their stuff is all bottled.
The bartender is very knowledgeable and will be happy to help you navigate this beer haven. Enjoy!
