When you travel to a new country and explore its cities, you usually look for authentic local food, which Tel-Aviv is very known for – and then you come across Brooklyn Pizza – THE best pizza in Tel-Aviv.
For many years I have been trying to avoid this guilty pleasure and with great success. Then I started to go out on Saturday evenings on an almost regular basis and after a few beers it became obvious for me and my friends: we must go to Brooklyn and eat a (HUGE) slice of pepperoni pizza.
Their pizza is just perfect; not too thick and not too thin, topped with amazing fresh Mozzarella and one of the best pepperonis I’ve ever had. They have two types of Tabasco that bring some extra heat and when you also add some chili flakes and dried garlic powder, you will get the best bite of pizza you could actually consider to relocate for!
No matter how full you are and ready to go to bed after a long night of drinking, ask them if they have the famous Nutella Calzone (the one I wrote about on my Shine 38 article). They will most likely tell you they’ve ran out, but if they do have it, consider yourself lucky, as it’s one of the most delicious things to eat.
Skip the hummus, falafel and all other Israeli food and just get some amazing American-inspired pizza that will put any other pizza you’ve ever had to shame!
