In Tel Aviv, many locals prefer to buy their groceries with style and skip the supermarket lines.
One of my favorite places to get “goodies” is at Gourmet Shop. it’s a small store that has an exquisite selection of French cheese, premium cold cuts and the best smoked salmon I have ever tasted.
It’s owned by a nice, friendly French guy who immigrated to Israel, and opened a local business in the food industry, like many other immigrants from France.
When you go to the Gourmet Shop, feel free to taste some delicious olives and ask to taste the “house” red/white wine while sampling cheese.
The shop sells extremely fresh produce and it’s all Kosher.
If you built up an appetite while in the shop, you can order a nice sandwich made with their tasty French Baguette and either sit in the tiny space they have inside or stroll Ibn Gvirol street towards the Yarkon park, where you can comfortably sit and enjoy a beautiful warm day.
