Nola is an American style restaurant/bakery.
They serve a variety of foods (do try the pancakes) and have a big pastry and sweets display that can only be called dessert porn at its best. Some of the stuff here is WOW, others are so so, to each his own, try stuff out and tell us what you liked.
But none of this is of any interest to us! The reason to go to Nola, even if they are not on your way and you have to take a detour to get there, are their amazing, OMG, crazily good pies.
Their pies are close to heavenly and are a very special treat. Some of Nolas pies are available year round such as The Mud pie: A chocolate fudge concoction. The Hose Addiction: a beautiful combination of sweet caramel with salty pretzel bits, the cheesecake pie: do I need to say more? And others.
Some pie varieties change daily or by the season. My all time favorite is a pie which is made very rarely, mostly in November, the Pumpkin-Cheesecake Pie. I strongly feel it didn’t get its fair shot at fame, its name sounds much less tasty than it truly is. Maybe one day Nola will reconsider and make it more frequently. Nothing comes close to its perfection not even the hose addiction. So go to Nola as tasty fun is guaranteed, try to catch the pumpkin-cheesecake pie. Who knows, maybe you’ll get lucky.
