Levinsky Market is highly praised in the past few years; many restaurants and bars opened around the market and as a result the area became one of the most desirable spots to live in, among young Tel-Avivians.
When Ouzeria, a Greek-inspired restaurant/bar opened up, it contributed to the success of the entire Levinsky Market neighborhood as other business were inspired by the combination of simple delicious food the Israeli palate loves, young authentic vibe that corresponds with the rich history and character of the neighborhood and its veteran residents and affordable prices.
I tried out Ouzeria when it had just opened and have eaten there many times ever since. Today it is considered to be one of the hottest places to eat in Tel-Aviv and many Israelis come from all over the country to spend the day shopping at the market and finish by eating and drinking (a lot) in Ouzeria.
Some say it might be over priced, but I love Ouzeria so much, and not only for its fresh and delicious food, but also for the fun and authentic ambiance.
Brace yourself for a long wait to get a table and while you wait, enjoy a beer outside and soak in the amazing feel of this cool neighborhood!
