As a resident of Southern Tel Aviv, I go to North Tel Aviv rather rarely – also because I prefer less fancy places. But once in a while, there are locations worth going to the other side of the city for – as Tel Aviv is small, we are of course only talking about a 3.50-kilometre distance.
Por do Sol is a perfect place for a girls or couples evening with cocktails. While the Kikar Atarim around looks pretty much like leftovers from a 1980s sci-fi movie, Por do Sol has a Caribbean feeling and a rooftop overlooking the beach.
It’s also open during the day for coffee, but the best time is to watch the sun go down and nibble on the grilled zucchini with feta cheese or fish and chips and sip your cherry cocktail or virgin margarita. If you are lucky you get to sit on the comfy bamboo chairs on the roof!
