This vibrant hidden space is one of my favorite hidden gems in Kerm Hateymanim. Easy to miss and pretty hard to find, this parking area near 34 Yichye kapach st, behind the Maganda restaurant is beautiful, colorful and filled with the work of different graffiti artists.

The pictures they paint integrate beautifully with the architecture of the crumbling old buildings around. When I go and look at the work I get the feeling it’s a private group discussion going on between the different artist presenting there. We as the viewers are invited to watch the work and take our own thoughts and opinions with us but not be a true part of the private discussion/competition/inside joke. It’s both enticing and infuriating and beautiful.

As this place is also a parking space (something that is hard to find in Tel-Aviv) I would recommend going there during the week between 08:00 – 11:00 or 14:00 – 17:00.

Of course these are just educated guesses as to when the space might be free of cars. Go any way if you’re in the area, no matter the time, maybe you will get lucky. This space is unique.
