Garoeda – Famous Indonesian restaurant

Garoeda is famous and one of the oldest Indonesian restaurant in The Hague.
The city has a large Indonesian community and with that some good Indonesian restaurants. For years, my husband and I were saying that we had to go there and last week we finally did.

Just sitting there is an experience on its own because of the great authentic interior. The service was great and everything was very tasty. We had a so-called rice table; lots of small dishes. Unfortunately, they were out of spekkoek, which is my absolute favourite Indonesian desert. Nothing left but to go here again soon to try more and “claim” that spekkoek.

It’s located right in the heart of the city, so it’s a great place to go after strolling around shopping or sightseeing.
