This is a really nice alternative to the more touristy pier of Scheveningen. It is the entrance to the harbor of The Hague, which is mainly focused on fishing and the distribution of fish. It is also nice to explore the rest of the harbor as there are different areas and some nice restaurants.

The entrance to the harbor is open to the public (with exceptions to dangerous situations) and you are allowed to walk the entire “arm” up to the small lighthouse. There is a paved road, so it is accessible and there is a parking lot next to the entrance. You are also able to enter from the beach (if you are able to climb some huge stone cubes). The views are sensational, as you are surrounded by water and the sun sets into the sea. It is quiet and there are usually some other people who are enjoying the sunset or fishing in the harbor. You can also watch the fishermen on their boats enter or leave the harbor. All in all, it is a relaxing environment.
