Living on the Reinkenstraat has many advantages; one of them is that you’re front row to events that take place in the street. Throughout the year, there are quite some events organised in the street, such as King’s Day, a Christmas market and for Halloween. Besides holiday-related events, there is also the International Market that takes place every year, on the 2nd Sunday of June. This market will take you a culinary, cultural and artistic trip around the world.
There are over 50 stands with a worldwide range of products, both foods and non-foods. What is great in my opinion is that it’s a very versatile market, which makes it suitable for all ages. There are local and international products that are put in the spotlight, such as special wines and beers, soaps, jewellery and fashion. Aside from market stands, there is always some type of entertainment, whether this is live music, a kids corner or a wine bar.
As The Hague is one of the most international cities in the Netherlands, it’s only natural to pay the International Market a visit when you are here!
