If you like to eat fish but don’t have the time or don’t feel like going to a restaurant, go to Simonis. Not just because it’s quick and easy, but also because they’ve simply got the best fish in The Hague.

The place is a bit of a combination of the butcher where you pick a number (because you do here as well) and a snack bar (only fried food), but it’s more than your average fish and chips shop. You don’t go here for the ambiance or decor (although they have spiced it up a little) — you go for the food. And you won’t be disappointed.

Why not have it for takeaway and enjoy it on the beach or walking on the boulevard? When you do, please be careful of the seagulls though, they’re very cheeky and big and will steal your food right out of your hands.
