I adore browsing through books in bookstores and I was elated when I discovered that the bookstore De Vries & Van Stockum not only relocated to a nice space in the Passage (which I also highly recommend visiting, as it is an interesting space where you can feel the history) but also opened a store dedicated to English-language books across the Passage.

It is a small space decorated with chandeliers, a small white winding staircase, and filled with books. When looking through the window you can see people rushing by, but inside the store it is quiet and customers take their time to browse through the books. Therefore, it feels like you are in a completely different world. The books are divided into different categories, like fiction, young adult, science fiction, and so on. The collection includes bestsellers, but also more niche books, so whenever I visit, I always find new books I was not looking for, but trigger my interest and make me excited to read more.
