This local fish shop is one of my favorite places to grab a snack for lunch. It is a family-owned shop where you can buy different types of fresh fish, a couple of dishes that include fish, fish and chips, and of course the famous Dutch herring. The fish is of good quality and it’s reasonably priced. The store has a nice ambiance with the necessary maritime-related decor, the people who run the shop are typical people from Scheveningen, as they are direct, friendly, and open for a conversation. It is always busy and as it is quite a small shop it can feel like you are like sardines in a can, which fits the theme somehow.

There is no place to sit inside the store, but when it is warm outside, there are spots nearby where you can enjoy your food in the sunshine. Next to the shop is a nice mural depicting individuals in traditional clothing from Scheveningen eating herring.
