WWen is a one of a kind shop on the Prinsestraat in The Hague, so if like me you don’t much care for H&M or Primark, then this might be your kind of shop. And if you are a fan of prints and patterns and sustainable fashion then you’ll like it for sure. The shop is not huge but has a fun quirky interior and is full of fun and sustainable clothing for men and women.

WWen also has cool gift items like jewelry, accessories, funky socks and stockings and other hebbedingetjes. There’s no literal translation for that but it’s basically ‘little -have – things (you know, those little things that you suddenly really, really want but don’t necessarily need). You’ve been warned!

The owner Wendeline looks for fairtrade and sustainable brands so you’ll find clothing by White Stuff, SkunkFunk, Ato Berlin and more of this kind of labels that pay attention to their materials and working conditions. The shop is also sometimes referred to as “the shop with the secret address” by loyal customers, to avoid their friends or colleagues buying the same dress or eye-catching shirt! Don’t worry though because unlike those high street shops there are only a small number of each item available and yet the racks are still full of lots of cool clothes to choose from!
Mostly I leave WWen feeling happy even if I don’t buy anything.
