From Thessaloniki is the souvenir shop I had been looking for. Generally speaking, I’m sceptical about the quality of products souvenir shops offer. The mass production of memorabilia just lacks imagination, and I always think that everyone that has travelled to a place just brings the same things back home.
From Thessaloniki is different. It sells numerous creative items that are inspired by both the old and the modern face of Thessaloniki. In fact, the whole inventory is actually made by people living and creating in Thessaloniki, which makes it unique among its counterparts. I especially like their collection of T-shirts, the photo cards and the clay keychains. It definitely has gifts for everyone to appreciate; its window display speaks for itself.
As it is situated in the heart of the city, in the lower part of Navarinou square, it is quite easily reachable. Even if someone is not in the mood for buying anything, I think that it is worth the visit, just for the sake of watching; the owners are always willing to explain the story behind each item. This shop is not to be missed.
