Looking for an alternative, unconventional museum experience in Thessaloniki? I have a proposal for you; the Museum of illusions, located in the Ladadika district. Over 40 different interactive exhibits are waiting for you to experience incredible tricks, take awesome photos and discover the secrets and phenomena behind them! Rotating cylinders, 3D photos, infinite mirrors and rooms, Dilemma Games puzzles, spirals that seem to rotate, kaleidoscopic instruments, and many other sorts of illusions will fascinate your imagination and make sure you have fun with your friends while there. It is truly a museum for people of all ages.
There is a discount on the ticket if you are a student, unemployed, a person with disabilities, or younger than 16. Make sure that you will bring a document that certifies your state (e.g., academic ID). Usually, you will need around 50 minutes to explore the museum, but if you are alone, time will not be a problem.
There is also a gift shop, where you can find a variety of games and optical illusions to take home. In any case, remember what Albert Einstein once said: “Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one!”
