Bloomer’s – A tofu club affair

A friend and I decided to go for a walk along Bloor Street, westbound, to catch up and chat. She talked about the doughnuts from Bloomer’s before so it was about time we visited for a bite while on our way. This was how I was introduced to their Tofu Club Sandwich. Perhaps, I should say that this is when our love affair was ignited…

Bloomer’s is among the many spots with awesome food and comfortable atmosphere found in-between the pockets of quaint Toronto neighbourhoods. The worn out wooden tables and leather booths give this restaurant its small town charm. Then Bloomer’s lures you in with their freshly baked vegan and gluten free bagels, cookies, cakes, mini loaves and doughnuts, while the kimchi fries, bowls, and my personal favourite, Tofu Club Sandwich delights you to stay. Admittedly, on random days I just crave the marinated grilled tofu with sriracha mayo and crunchy lettuce. A defeat I’m willing to admit after devouring my sandwich!

Located close to Ossington subway station, Bloomer’s is a great spot to visit to get a taste of delicious vegan and gluten free food while being immersed in the neighbourhood.
