Pour Boy, is one of those bars that happens to be hidden on a little side street that most neighborhood locals know quite well. If you're not however, then no, not really and chances are that countless people -including me, walked by it for years and completely missed it. That is what makes it such a great little gem of an unpretentious pub.
The first thing greeting you when you approach Pour Boy is that two story mural. It is definitely an eye catcher. Once inside, with some Indian, Buddhistic decor along low-key, candlelit tables and vintage looking chandeliers this is really one great place to come with laid back friends, specially at night.
Also consider their inexpensive pricing along with their drink specials -check their website for those: like $ 6 Sangria or $ 4 or $ 4.50 special pint night, then Pour Boy is primed for a good, easy-going time. The menu is mostly pub fare, along some fusion South East Asian. Plus All-Day Breakfast if you are so inclined.
Personally my favourite seats are the ones on the left hand side, the ones next to the windows. once you come in. I find they add a little bit more to the experience. Especially if there is only two of you.
There is also a second floor in case the main floor gets very lively during the winter, and during the summer months their patio is a great place to enjoy a refreshing drink and weathered conversations. Well recommended.
