St. Lawrence Market Toronto

St. Lawrence Market – Are you hungry?

One of the places I always take my visiting friends to is St Lawrence Market. It’s an amazing place for food aficionados and a great place to get a picnic-style snack. There are countless vendors all selling different food types and you can pretty much get any ingredient your heart could think up.

There’s actually 3 parts to the market. The main part with the high ceiling sells fresh breads, cheeses, veggies and meats. There is also the downstairs gallery of a few little shops, restaurants and other vendors. Across the street, on the weekends there is a third part that houses the farmers market and antiques.

My mom lived in this neighbourhood as I was growing up so consequently I’ve been here more than a few times. Although buying fresh ingredients to cook yourself is great, I can never leave without having a taste of the veal sandwiches at the small place downstairs. (Also have a veggie eggplant option.) They’re really quite tasty.
