Tokyo Sushi – Slow down and eat

It never ceases to amaze me every time I visit a new spot in the city. For over 20 years, Tokyo Sushi has been serving locals and celebrity patrons living or visiting the city. While eating dinner there the other day, I noticed a wall of signed autographs from iconic actors and actresses that have dined in the shop – Professor X (Patrick Stewart) just to name one!

But you know, I didn’t just enjoy looking at those plastered memorabilia on the wall. During my first visit at Tokyo Sushi, (and I do this for every new spot I visit) I asked the owner which item from the menu was his favourite. He said, “Well we just got fresh new salmon and tuna. They cut it at 15:00 this afternoon.” I have so much appreciation that he knew such details about his restaurant. It spoke volumes about the quality of food that they put out and their commitment to serving patrons with food that they’re proud of serving.

The food is good and the price very reasonable. Tokyo Sushi is a charming little spot, and at some moments you can feel the busy city beyond the front door slowing down, letting you enjoy every bite of your meal.
