Caffè Vini Emilio Ranzini is a place that takes you back in time. Being a wine shop with the possibility to sip a coffee and drink a glass, in the last few years it turned into a real icon for hipsters and people who love to have a little dish of meat and cheese or hand-made sandwich with their wine.
My ideal moment at Ranzini is on Saturdays, lunch time. Since it is not only mine, if you’re planning to go then, be prepared to wait in line for a chair, or you can simply play it smart and go a little before lunch time: 11:30 or midday are the best picks.
If you find a table (remember the place is old-fashioned, so you may be asked to share your table with others) you can enjoy their delicious sandwiches and small dishes (a kind of tapas actually) with all delicacies from Turin’s food culture.
Order some wine, enjoy your lunch time in a relaxed atmosphere, get overwhelmed by the food: simple and so good.
