In the heart of Turin lies one of the most interesting and unique spots of excellent crafts in the region: the Theatre’s Tailoring De Valle. Established here in 1920, by the expert hand of excellent craftsman Giovanni De Valle.

The De Valle father started this activity with his son Roberto, at the start they only rented out costumes for theatre. After the second World War Papa De Valle passed everything on to the De Valle son. The De Valle son widened their scope and starting collecting old clothes to restore them and preserve the memory.

In this atelier you can find unique pieces and complete collections designed for theaters, film productions and for personal use.

As I said De Valle collected a mountain of clothes during the years, now the atelier also houses a large collection of original pieces, which traces the evolution of Italian fashion from ‘500 until now.

Entering this workshop is like jumping into the past and if you come on a “good day” you can also have the honor of wearing something perfected by the hands of Mr. De Valle.

A tour of the atelier is provided on appointment basis only.
