I’ve been a client of Japs! for a lot of years. I fell in love with the original aesthetic: white minimalist walls, touches of bright orange and a lovely little orange fish as a logo. Now, the fish have swum away and white has been replaced by dark stylish grey… but I’m still in love.
The concept is (and always has been) simple: good quality, great health check on the fish, and popular prices.
This does NOT follow an “all you can eat” formula and It’s never going to be like that. You have a great choice of sushi and sashimi sets and single portions in every shop (they have 4 of them only in Turin plus the online delivery shop).
The thing I find really cool about their evolution is the specialisation introduced in every reastaurant: there is the ramen bar, the udon bar, and the Izakaya (japanese pub).
I visited the Izakaya with my boyfriend and we were amazed! You can choose between a lot of freshly made Japanese tapas and tapas sets. We tried Hokkaido Hotate (scallops with orange and panko crumbs) and Tuna tataki with ponzu sauce and sesame. They were beyond good. We ate also a Sushi party set (50 pieces of mixed sushi) at a really good price (1€/piece). We also tried a new dessert: ginger deconstructed tarte tatin. Refreshingly delightful!
If you like sake, they have a good selection. And also Ashai on tap.
Please go. Itadakimasu!
