Every city has a spot that you can consider to be the heart of it. If you think about London you could name Piccadilly Circus or Trafalgar Square, if you think of Paris you may say Place de la Concorde or Place de la Bastille. If you are in Turin, you will find the heart of the city in Piazza Castello. This amazing spot hosts the Royal Palace, the castle in the middle named Palazzo Madama, the Teatro Regio where all the operas are performed, and many other important spots.
It is simply the place to be when something happens in the city centre. What makes it so lovely is the chance you have to feel the city itself by just walking around: it is the place where you can set a meeting point with your friends or with someone you do not even know, because it simply is Piazza Castello and no one will miss it. Impossible not to find.
Enjoy a walk in the square, sit on a bench watching kids skateboarding on the eastern side, have an espresso in one of the bars alongside the perimeter. This is 100% Turin.
