Do you need a bit of sunshine in your morning? Cora is a bright, welcoming diner that focuses on serving delicious breakfasts and shining some happiness into your day; even the paper napkins have a little smiling sun on them.
On the front of the menu is Cora, the smiling grandmother that created the diner. Inside, the menus have a large, colourful picture of every meal. Cora’s meals usually come with a generous helping of sliced fruit in addition to the crepe, waffles, omelette or french toast. The diner itself is painted in bright colours with pictures of fruit on the walls, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. When you leave, the servers give you (free) homemade fudge! When you are at Cora, you feel like a kid again, in a good way, like you’ve just visited your favorite grandma’s house.
Eating at Cora is definitely an experience, and well worth travelling for. Especially if you need encouragement after a rough or crazy night, the atmosphere (and the fudge) will be sure to make you feel better.
There are four Cora locations in the greater Vancouver area, one in Vancouver, Richmond, one in Coquitlam and one in Burnaby. Visit the website to find out which one is closest to you.
