On our way to grab a late lunch, a friend and I walked by Kurumucho and stopped to look at the menu. The term “Japanese taco” and a glimpse at what they offer convinced our stomachs to change our lunch destination for this place. We were not disappointed!
We weren’t sure at fist if the fact that the small place was basically empty (only a couple sitting at a table) was a bad sign or if it made the place even better. The menu is meat lover, vegetarian and vegan friendly (with vegan options even for desserts!) I had trouble deciding between a prawn tempura taco, a tempeh or special veggie burrito… and some of their creative sushi tacos! My friend didn’t take long to finish his meat-free “ground beef” taco and liked it as much as I did with my meal.
Bonus: the lunch special combo are at a really good price and the ingredient were all fresh! Also, I can very well see myself going back before a show at the Commodore or the Orpheum as it is within walking distance from the busy downtown Granville street and the popular venues.
