When I travel I particularly like to try the local food and wine. In the case of Libations they have an amazing selection of short run BC wines that are hard to find in other places. There is of course the larger government liquor stores but they will not have the smaller run vintners that you can only find if you have traveled to the Okanagan Valley. If you don't have the time for the 5 hour drive to get to the vineyards this is the next best thing.
They also carry locally made spirits like gin and vodka and have a full cooler full of local beers ready for your perusal. I always stop by here on the way to a dinner party as they never disappoint. They also carry a selection of other countries' wines and the helpful staff recently suggested some French Rose wines to me that have been excellent so don't be scared to ask for help. These folks know their wine and have a good knowledge of what's new in the store.
