Al Faro restaurant and pizzeria is located in the heart of the world most ancient Jewish ghetto, in Cannaregio district, right next to the GUGLIE waterbus stop. Visiting the Venice Jewish ghetto (see article) is definitely a must-do activity in this city, and stopping by at Al Faro Restaurant while here is a very good idea too.
Apart from the nice and cosy ambience of the place, which also has a wide external area with tables and big umbrellas for hot summer days, the food here is very good, and quite affordable too! Maybe you know that finding quality pizza in Venice is not easy, because restaurants here are not allowed to use traditional wooden ovens. When I discovered this pizzeria Al Faro was making very good pizzas only few steps away from my place, it was kind of a revelation to me!
When my friends and I organize dinners and evenings at my place, the first option popping up in our mind is to take a pizza from Al Faro. Therefore, we go there, we talk to the nice staff there and basically after 10 minutes we have our pizzas ready. Personal suggestion: Al Faro pizza, with buffalo mozzarella, pumpkin cream, porcini mushrooms, speck and olives. Enjoy!
