This small restaurant is located inside a small boatyard “Giovanni Toffolo”, oriented on the South Lagoon. Even though the place is easily reachable from Palanca harbor with a 5 minute walk, the few tourists visiting Giudecca don’t penetrate the island so faraway, so the place is popular only among Venetians.
The first time I went there I thought the atmosphere was very welcoming, warm and authentic, since the main customers are workmen working in the boatyard or people living on the island, and the cuisine is very simple but rich and tasty.
The small restaurant offers you the possibility to eat inside or outside, an excellent possibility to enjoy the sun: two or three tables are placed outside surrounded by boats undergoing restoration or under construction.
The menu includes a starter, a main course of pasta, a second course of meat, water, wine, coffee and fruit.
Hence if you are in Giudecca, maybe after visiting the Redentore Church and are very hungry, I suggest you give it a try!
