Conceived as a permanent laboratory of conscious and sustainable consumption, La Dispensa is both an excellent restaurant and a selling point for food products selected on the basis of quality, designation of origin, and criteria for sustainable production and processing.
I like La Dispensa because here the food assumes a social value, not just culinary. Here you can understand the local territory, its value and the culture it represents for the locals. In fact, alongside the tasting of ethical and sustainable products, La Dispensa hosts book presentations, concerts, photo and painting exhibitions.
La Dispensa is also one of my favorite restaurants because it offers an excellent balance between reasonable price and quality of the dishes. The menu changes daily to always follow the seasonality of products, trying to give preference to local or at least national food excellences by carefully selecting the suppliers. Sometimes you can find very traditional dishes, typical of the local festivities, such as the goose, the cod, the nerves, etc.
Yet, there is yummy food for everyone, for those who enjoy the local cuisine, meat lovers, vegetarians… And for those who have a sweet tooth like me, try the tiramisu!
