You’re in Mestre and you don’t know where to eat? Here’s a great place: Officina del Gusto.
I like this restaurant because it’s very warm and colorful, enough to make you feel at home immediately. In the large room on the ground floor you can find a bar and a corner with sustainable products to buy, while the kitchen prepares great dishes for lovers of organic and zero kilometer food, as well as vegetarians.
The menu of Officina del Gusto includes some local typical dishes such as “baccalà” and “risotto” but the place is especially known for its offer of seasonal dishes and selected products of good quality, including meat and fish. Vegetarians like me, however, will not be disappointed because Officina del Gusto is one of the restaurants that takes care to propose several dishes for them.
In the afternoon, I like to stop by to have a tea or a coffee, as they have a nice selection of teas and coffees from around the world, that can be accompanied by a cake and homemade cookies.
Officina del Gusto, however, is not just a restaurant, it often hosts concerts and presentations, but also cooking classes and other events mostly linked to topics such as health and environmental sustainability.
