Vecio Biavarol is a guarantee. People in Venice usually try to meet at places which are equally distant from everyone, in order to simplify the meetings. Since its opening in 2015, Vecio Biavarol has overturned this tradition. When my friends and I go out, we know the first option is: let’s meet at Andrea’s, at Vecio Biavarol.
Despite its relatively recent opening, Venice culinary traditions are at top level here. All products are carefully selected by the owner, nice and friendly Andrea “oste Puppa”, who personally creates extraordinary cicheti on the spot with passion and dedication. It’s hard for me to indicate one single “favourite cicheto”, because they are all small pieces of art, but if I have to pick one to start the party, I’d say you shouldn’t miss the crouton with Bronte pistachio pesto and handcut slices of mortadella (crostino con pesto di pistacchio di bronte e mortadella) and a glass of wine chosen from the huge selection offered by the Vecio Biavarol.
This Hostaria is right on the canal, which means you can enjoy the wonderful surrounding in a very typical Venetian atmosphere. Sometimes, depending on the season, local bands play live music in front of the bar, and the real party begins.
