A bit out of the way, you might think. Not at all, I tell you. Here is why you should come to Kekko.
Firstly, the sushi, bentos and other Japanese food is delicious. Sometimes I choose a tofu dish for the variety 😉 Also, the quality of the fish is excellent. Well, it better be, or how else would the credentials of the owner (Mr. Wu) as a fishing expert be worth much? In the shop next door, you can get a professional fishing tackle and consultation on the matter. Not enough proof of the quality fish here? Well then there’s only one way left for you to find out whether my words are true: go and check it out yourself.
I suggest you have lunch here on your trip to Klosterneuburg, which during WWII used to be a district of Vienna and where you can visit the 900-year old monastery. It is not even a 30-minute bike ride along the Danube to get there.
You can also wander on one of the two trails which start at one and two tram stops after Kekko respectively. Walk up the hill in between the vineyards and take a break in one of the Heurigen in Nussdorf to sip on some local wine.
