This small restaurant and take-away in the eastern part of Vienna has been around for about two years now. Mr. and Ms. Wu have created a little snack bar oasis for lovers of Asian cuisine in a neighborhood otherwise busy with kebab stalls and Balkan BBQ places.
I guess that is also why they are constantly busy, which doesn’t stop them from being super friendly and always eager to please their customers! By friendly, I mean a warm smile, not a fake one. This might well be their secret to success, next to the tasty food, that is! I hardly try other dishes than the green dumplings because Ms. Wu with her secret recipe prepares the best jiaozi there are – and I’ve tried them all over the place in China. You think I’m exaggerating? Well, go and order them, and then let us know whether you think I am right ;).
If you believe it’s too far from everything else, you (are missing the chance to meet the lovely owners!) can also order their food online and it will be delivered to your doorstep. Also, the Central Cemetery is just a few minutes away; I like to take a soothing walk in the quietness between the many rows (Vienna’s largest cemetery covers an area of 2.5 million m2, where more than 3 million people are buried in some 330,000 graves) where you meet deers as often as people.
