Theseustempel – Art in the temple

I fell in love with this beautiful new installation in Vienna by Susanna Fritscher. You find the flowy art exhibition right next to the rose garden with bushes of 200 different varieties, opposite the parliament.

As part of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien the Theseustemple houses one artwork by a contemporary artist for the summer. This year’s installation is a parcours formed by thousands of translucent silicone threads stretched from ceiling to floor. Those threads are grouped in flowerlike shapes if you look where your shoes are.

We spent half an hour there taking photos and will surely be back to enjoy the stunning beauty of this art piece.

You can visit the exhibition every day, free of charge! Current Corona restrictions even make sure you are kind of alone in there since only three people at a time are allowed inside. It is wheelchair accessible up to the door – since the path through the installation is pretty narrow.
