I love Belgian beer. Any kind of dark and rich taste suites me. Kwak, Grimbergen, Chimay, Leffe – you name it. I am glad that in Vilnius there is a place where you can savor this kind of drink accompanied with traditional Belgian mussels and fries. The place is called Belgai restaurant (translation in English is Belgians).
The restaurant has a great choice of traditional Belgian dishes; however I prefer the mussels in white wine sauce and of course the Belgian waffles for dessert. The mussels are really great and I can recommend them to everybody. I just have to add a slight note: the restaurant says that they serve food of French quality in German quantities. I agree on the first, but sorry to say that quantity is not German at all, if you know what I mean. Keep in mind that the food is nice but the portions are not as big as you would imagine from their motto.
The restaurant has a very nice and cool inner yard where you can enjoy the food and drinks on hot summer days.
